Depending on your woodworking shop dust collection system, you generally will need to use different diameter hoses from time to time. Typically, the most commonly used diameter hoses are 4” and 2½”. When reducing from 4” diameter to 2½” we usually buy a reducer fitting. With the 4” to 2½” Y you’ll be able to reduce your hose line without an extra fitting! This makes your dust collection setup process a step or two quicker and easier. The Fulton 4” to 2½” Y fitting is ideal for not only reducing your hose line from 4” to 2½”, it is also ideal for re-directing your airflow to effectively gain maximum suction into your dust collector. To re-direct airflow using the 4” to 2½” Y you’ll need a blast gate (NOT included) for the 4” port, the 2½” or both ports. This way you can close the airflow from one diameter hose line to the other at your convenience.

Its Easy to Connect
Using Hose clamps (NOT included) to keep the hose on the Fulton 4" to 2-1/2" Y provides more than enough holding power to keep the air flowing through your lines. The Y has recessed ports to make adding or removing hose lines quick and easy.
Add a Blastgate...
Add a blastgate (NOT included) for maximum airflow control! Using a blastgate allows to effectively close one hose line in order for the airflow to only go through the other. Doing this not only re-directs airflow, but it provides you with maximum airflow efficiency since all the air is traveling through one line.
