Using our steel bar versus plastic or aluminum gives your sled, jig or fixture more strength and stability and it won't bend or warp.
When building sleds, jigs and fixtures one of the most important aspects is to achieve a smooth sliding action without side to side play. The Fulton Precision Steel Miter Bar does both with its solid steel bar and 4 adjustable spring loaded plungers. The plungers can be adjusted with the included hex key wrench for just the right fit.

18" Long Steel Miter Bar for 3/4" x 3/8" Miter Slots
The Fulton 18" Steel Miter Bar is the perfect size for many of the jigs and fixtures we build for our table saws, router tables and even band saws. It's not oversized like many of the other bars that are available. This bar perfect for mounting on your next shop built sled, jig or fixture for a smooth run though the blade or cutter every time!
A Definite Upgrade
When compared to plastic UHMW bars or even light duty aluminum miter bars, the Fulton Steel Miter Bar stands above the rest. With its sturdy, solid steel construction, this bar will not prevent warping or bending, it provides a consistent smooth run through your cutter or blade. Over time, plastic and even aluminum can bend to the will of the wood platform. Our steel miter bar is designed to resist warping or bending and will last for years. This, more importantly allows for a smooth running jig, sled or fixture since you know it won't expand or contract like other bars typically do.
Two is (just may be) Better Than One...
Depending on your project, you may need to have two runners or miter bars on the underside of your platform. The larger the sled, jig or fixture, the more likely you will need to do this. This also depends on the machine you are building your project for. Smaller table saws may only have one slot.
T-Slot Compatible
The Fulton 18" Steel Miter Bar fits neatly into standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter T slots that are commonly found on may table saws, router tables and band saw table tops.
U Shaped Slot Compatible
The Fulton 18" Steel Miter Bar fits neatly into standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter U Shaped slots that are commonly found on may table saws and other workshop machinery.
Top Down or Bottom Up Installation
Unlike other "adjustable" plastic or aluminum miter bars, the Fulton 18" Steel Miter Bar can be mounted from the top down or you can mount it from the bottom upwards. This makes this miter bar even more versatile and provides you with the flexibility of not being stuck drilling into the top of your freshly built sled, jig or fixture. Wood screws and machine screws NOT included.
